About W. Bryan Wright
Hello, I am Bryan Wright. I earned a B.B.A in Finance from Texas Tech University and continued my education to earn a M.B.A in Business Administration. My profession was focused in the banking industry. My twenty-year career in banking started as a teller and bookkeeper for a locally owned bank in Lubbock, TX, while attending school. After graduation, I advanced to Branch Sales and Marketing Manager for some of the largest mid-market banking centers in Dallas, TX, for Bank One, Comerica Bank and Capital One Bank. I mentored many branch associates to develop role specific problem-solving skills and was recognized as a top performer for production and compliance in the DFW market.
After the financial crisis of 2008, I co-founded two family owned start-up companies. I joined a FinTech company in May of 2014 as a manager for an education team. Since that time, my role expanded to coach individuals at all levels of organizations to continuously improve business operations and develop scientific-thinking problem solving skills. I LOVE what I do!
What I Do:
- I dramatically improve individual and organizational performance by teaching them to use scientific thinking for overcoming obstacles and achieving their target state. I accomplish this by:
- Consulting with the senior leadership teams to understand what is important to the business.
- Communicating and relationship building with all levels of management to understand their obstacles.
- Coaching associates to develop a continuous improvement kata (practice) skill set using scientific thinking.
- Collaborating with peers to learn about new technology and solutions that managers may want to explore as solutions.
- Being compassionate and empathetic to front line associates doing the daily work.
- Being accessible to anyone in need of help.
Facilitation can be both simple and complex. It has three fundamental principles that guide the process. Firstly, a facilitator acts as a guide to help people move through a process together, rather than being the sole source of knowledge or wisdom. This means that they do not offer personal opinions, but rather focus on drawing out the opinions and ideas of the group members or individual. Secondly, facilitation emphasizes on how people participate in the process of learning or planning, not just on what is achieved. Lastly, a facilitator remains neutral and does not take sides or show bias towards any particular member or group.
What Inspires/ Motivates Me:
I find what inspires me the most are those willing to admit that they failed and learned from their failures. They take what they learned, altered the path to experiment with new solutions, learn, keep trying, and eventually reach their goal.
What motivates me, is me. I have always seen myself as an investment and want to see a return-on-investment (ROI) through my own abilities.
What qualities do I value? People, relationships, trust, integrity, compassion, empathy, humility, diversity, inclusion, determination, and emotional intelligence.
On a personal level, I value my faith, family, friends, and co-workers (past and present).
